After being at my lowest, I was given an opportunity to get back what I felt like I had lost — my life, my drive, and my purpose.
A former brother on the field, Anton, helped bring that fire and tenacity back out of me when I had given up on myself. At my lowest point, he accepted me with open arms and, more importantly, never stopped believing in me.
Because of that belief, I found my way back.
Now I’m back playing professional football at a high level, doing what I love and chasing the goals I once thought were out of reach.
I’ll forever be grateful to Anton for reminding me who I was when I couldn’t see it for myself. Sometimes all it takes is one person believing in you until you’re able to believe in yourself again.
Thank you, brother. This comeback means more than football.
